Subsidy for new businesses from DYPA (formerly OAED) for 2023
The Public Employment Service (DYPA) announced a new subsidy program for the creation of new businesses by formerly unemployed people aged 30-55.
The program, entitled “New Entrepreneurship Program for 1,900 beneficiaries aged 30-55, with an emphasis on the digital economy”, offers subsidies of 14,800 euros to unemployed people who have set up businesses from 1/1/2022 until the date of the announcement of the action.
The objectives of the subsidy
The main goal is to promote the employment of the unemployed through their support for the creation of 1,900 new businesses. But also the digital transformation of the Greek economy.
Program Details
- The beneficiaries are young freelancers/entrepreneurs, who were unemployed before establishing their new business and are between 30 and 55 years old.
- The business must be based in one of the following regions: Region of Eastern Macedonia – Thrace, Region of Central Macedonia, Region of Thessaly, Region of Epirus, Region of Western Greece, Region of Western Macedonia, Region of Ionian Islands, Region of Peloponnese, Region of North Aegean, Region of Crete and in the Region of Central Greece.
- The business must operate in the digital economy, in the respective CACs of the notice.
- Grant duration: The grant lasts twelve (12) months from the date the business starts operating at the Tax Office.
- Payment of the aid amount: The aid amount amounts to €14,800 and is paid in three installments.
- 1st installment: €4,000 after the issuance of the Funding Approval Decision for the proposal.
- 2nd installment: €5,400 after the end of the first semester from the start of the business or the date on which all the terms and conditions of eligibility are met.
- 3rd installment: €5,400 after the end of the second semester from the start of the business or the date on which all the terms and conditions of eligibility are met.
